Cancellation Policy / Terms & Conditions
Balloon Flights of Bendigo contacts passengers on the evening before their scheduled flight to advise the latest meteorology forecasts and whether the morning will be suitable for a hot air balloon flight. Therefore please ensure that you have given a phone or mobile number on which we can reach you.
If passengers are coming to Bendigo from some distance away and staying overnight we always suggest that they call us on 03 5444 1127 before leaving home and we will give them our best possible estimation of the following day’s weather. This avoids passengers paying for travel and accommodation if it is obvious that the conditions next morning will be unsuitable for a hot air balloon flight.
By 7.00 pm each evening we know if the weather will be “balloon friendly” the following day. Ballooning is very much a weather dependent activity and safety must always be our first priority.
For safety reasons Balloon Flights of Bendigo will not fly if it is too windy nor do we fly if it is raining or even grey and drizzling because visibility will be poor and our passengers will not get value for their flight.
If a flight is cancelled we simply reschedule our passengers for another mutually convenient day. If it is not possible for passengers to fly on a different day as sometimes happens with visitors to Bendigo then their payment is refundable.
To date our passengers have always checked in on the morning of their flight but if they did not arrive then obviously they would forfeit their payment.
