Bendigo Art Gallery is pleased to announce a new drawing prize for 2010. The Paul Guest Prize is a non-acquisitive cash prize of $10,000 which will be held every two years, highlighting contemporary drawing practice in Australia. The Prize was initiated by former Family Court Judge and Olympic rower, the Honourable Paul Guest QC and encourages artists from across Australia to engage with the important medium of drawing and to create challenging and unique art works

Fathers Day Show and Shine Sunday 5th September The Annual Centre State Rodders Fathers Day Show and Shine will be held at our Clubrooms from 10am Sunday 5th September. All makes and models of cars and bikes are welcome, no charge to enter vehicles. A small charge of $3 per person to come and view the magnificent display of vehicles. Profits from the day will be donated to a local charity. The local Lions Club will be selling hot food, a local coffee van and entertainment for the kids will also be available. Clogging is a misnomer, since it is not performed in clogs but shoes with jingle (or double) taps. Modern clogging is danced to a variety of music from blue grass to rock, pop and country. The Australian Clogging Association National Convention is the premier clogging event of the year in Australia. Each year it is held in different regions on behalf of the ACA. It is a weekend event, with social dancing in the evenings and workshops during the day, catering to all levels of dancers. The Rowing Victoria Concept 2
Indoor Rowing Tri-series is part of the Row for your life initiative set up to introduce the sport of Indoor Rowing into the community and to demonstrate how Indoor Rowing can be used to encourage physical activity and develop and improve mental and physical health.
The Tri Series will be run over 3 races in the lead up to the Australian Indoor Rowing Championships.
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all race and age categories. The master's category will be based on a handicapping system.

Dragon City Volleyball Tournament 2010
The Bendigo Volleyball Association is once again hosting the annual Dragon City Tournament at the Schweppes Centre courts.
The work in this exhibition has been generated through a series of workshops co-ordinated by CreateAbility Events Network. CreateAbility was established in Bendigo in 2002 with the aim of providing opportunities through the arts for people of all abilities to express themselves and connect with others.
The works that are included in this exhibition are an expression of each individual’s personal creative impulse. Vibrancy and an immediacy of expression characterise the impact of their visual language.
These artists offer another voice and another perspective from those that are commonly seen and heard in the arts. Their perspectives expand the range of possibilities and experiences for everyone.
Vibe Alive Festival

Vibe Alive is a two-day festival for young Australians of all backgrounds who like to dance, sing, paint and play sport. FIGJAM CAR RALLY

Based in Bendigo through the weekend of September 18 - 19, the rally covers around 500kms of roads and approximately 20 driving tests repeated over the two-day duration.
The Harvest Moon Festival is a special celebration for the Chinese and other Asian cultures around the world. All over Asia communities celebrate the harvest together at the time when the moon is biggest and brightest.
It is a time of thanksgiving for the food which has been produced, future prosperity, health, families and friends.

Netball Victoria's 2010 V/Line State Titles will be held in Bendigo in a one-off move to celebrate the prestigious event's 25th Anniversary. The move in 2010 is an opportunity to showcase some of the state of the art netball facilities in regional Victoria. KYB Shockabsorbers Australian Motorkhana Championships
The Australian Motorkhana Championship (AMC) is one of the longest running CAMS National Championship events in the motorsport calendar. A motorkhana is an entry level event, in which competitors compete (one car at a time) against the clock over a series of maneuvering tests.
