Visitor Centre

Discover hidden treasures inside one of Bendigo’s most beautiful buildings – the Historic Post Office.  It now operates as the Bendigo Visitor Information Centre.

A visit to the centre is the best place to start your explorations of Bendigo.  You’ll be greeted by a friendly local who will be able to offer you a wealth of information to ensure your visit is full of experiences that suit your interests!

Visitor maps, guide books, brochures and self-guided trail material can all be obtained from the Bendigo Visitor Information Centre.  So too can a great variety of local product and souvenirs to ensure your visit to Bendigo is memorable.

“Meet the Maker” is an exciting program hosted by the Bendigo Visitor Centre which aims to highlight the creative and innovative people behind the fantastic creations on offer throughout the Greater Bendigo Region. By having the “Maker” on hand you will be able to gain a deeper insight into the processes and inspiration underlying the wares. Previous “Meet the Makers” events have included local visual artists, wineries, jewellers, mohair products, lavender products, specialist food-stuffs, boomerangs, quilters and specialist stationery.

A free Accommodation Booking Service also operates from the centre.  It is a one-stop shop for ‘things to do’ information, historical details, accommodation bookings, event information and for finding the perfect Bendigo memento.
